Privacy Policy

Overview
Vocix is a browser-based audio, video, and image editing tool. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how advertising works, and the choices you have.
Account information
When you register or sign in, we collect your email address and an encrypted password, or Google account details if you use Google sign-in. This information authenticates you and provides access to the service.
Media processing
Most editing operations — trim, merge, split, convert, compress, and similar tasks — run locally in your browser using FFmpeg WebAssembly. Those files are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers for those operations.
When you use AI transcription, text-to-speech, image generation, or background removal, media may be temporarily uploaded to secure cloud storage so our servers can send it to AI providers. Uploaded files are used only to complete your request.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may show ads on eligible publisher pages: the public homepage when you are signed out, guides, blog articles, FAQ, About, Contact, Privacy, and Terms. We do not place Google ads on the signed-in editor, History, login, register, or password-reset screens.
Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to provide and measure ads. You can review how Google uses data from partner sites at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad personalization at https://adssettings.google.com/. Vocix is not directed at children under 13.
Cookies, retention, and your rights
We use HTTP-only session cookies to keep you signed in. Advertising partners may set their own cookies when ads are shown. Account data is kept while your account is active. Temporary AI uploads are not kept longer than needed to finish the request. You can ask for account deletion from the contact page. We do not sell your personal information.
